Face Of The Day-Saturday Errands, Minimal Makeup
Thought I'd share a quick face of the day. I'm doing nothing exciting today, just running a few errands and trading off shifts with the husband to sit at home while our hard wood floors are being installed. I threw on minimal makeup as I do most weekends unless we're doing something special. Please forgive my bags, I've been burning the candles at both ends the past few nights.
Products used:
Eyes:
-Rock & Republic eyeshadow in Fatalistic (matte black) as an eyeliner on upper lash line (used an angled brush)
-Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero for water line
-Urban Decay Sin as brow bone highlight and inner corner highlight
-Prestige mascara
Face:
-Neutrogena spf 35 daily oil-free moisturizer
-L'Oreal Magic Perfecting Base just on the cheeks to give the blush something to hold onto
-MAC Stereo Rose MSF on cheeks
-Bobbi Brown corrector in Bisque (to neutralize dark circles)
-MAC Prolong Wear concealer in NC42 (to cover dark circles)
Lips:
-NYX lipliner in Mahogany
-Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Coral
-MAC Wildly Refined lipgloss
This was so quick that I may do this on those days when I am running late for work. Hope you enjoy the rest of your Saturday!

Urban Decay Is Kicking Shine To The Curb
Do you take the time in the mornings to apply your makeup flawlessly only to have your face oilier than the BP oil spill by 9 a.m.?? If this is you, Urban Decay has a solution for you! Okay, enough with the infomercial already. Urban Decay De-slick in a Tube ($28) has helped me tame my oil well oily skin. It is a gel that mattifies your skin and can be worn underneath or on top of your makeup. It dries clear and leaves no trace of residue. I have tried it both over and under my makeup, though I prefer to use it under my makeup. The way I apply it is over my face primer and under my foundation with my fingers, dabbing it over my oily prone areas. And trust me, a little goes a long way.
Ladies and Gents, I have finally found the product that stops me from looking like a greasy mess by mid-morning! I haven't had to use the oil blotting sheets since I purchased this (and that's a BIG deal).

Urban Decay Heard Our Cries!
Urban Decay finally listened to their Primer Potion fans and released a more practical package for the cult favorite. The new limited edition Professional Size Primer Potion comes in a tube with a needle nose end. The original package, while cute and all, was not very practical. A lot of the product would get lost in the curves of the genie bottle, and you would have to cut it open to depot it (lots of depotting tutorials on YouTube). Also the doe foot applicator of the original bottle is less than sanitary, especially is you're using it on other people.

The professional size is 25 ml compared to the 16.3 ml of the XL size bottle and 10 ml for the regular size bottle. I paid $23 for the XL size bottle. The professional size retails for $29 at urbandecay.com and Sephora. Since I am a huge fan (click here for my product rave review), I promptly placed my order from Sephora. Here are some comparison pictures.

I Got Naked!
After hearing all of the hype, I picked up the Urban Decay Naked Palette from Ulta. I must say that it lives up to the hype. It is gorgeous and I see myself using this palette a lot. It comes with 12 nearly full sized shadows, two 24/7 Glide-On Liners in Zero (black) and Whiskey (brown), and a mini Primer Potion, all for $44. That is roughly $3.70 per shadow. Not a bad deal if you ask me. The colors are beautiful! I love neutral colors and this palette is full of them.

You can do so many looks with this palette, it is so versatile. If you get a chance, pick this up. You won't regret it! The Urban Decay Naked Palette is available at Ulta, Sephora, and Urban Decay.

Product Rave: Urban Decay Primer Potion
I like to call this my genie in a bottle! Have you ever put on your eye makeup, then a few hours later it is a streaky mess? Well look no further, Urban Decay's Primer Potion is to the rescue! You put it on your bare, clean lids before applying your shadows. Let it dry and then apply your eyeshadow. It makes the colors more vibrant and they stay all day! I mean really, NO CREASING! It is amazing! I do not know what they put in this stuff, but it works miracles. I have really oily lids and I have worn it for 12 hours before, and my eyeshadow looked like it was freshly applied. It even keeps your eyeliner fresh looking! I recommend applying it with the doe foot wand that comes with it. I would avoid using your fingers, as they can transfer oil onto your lids.It can be found at Ulta, Sephora, or http://www.urbandecay.com/. It comes in two sizes, 10 ml for $18 and 16 ml for $23. It will last a long time because a little goes a long way with this product.
