Tarte EmphasEYES Inner Rim Brightener

I picked this up at Ulta a few weeks ago with my 20% off coupon.  It is a nude eyeliner that is designed to be used on the waterline and the inner corner to brighten the eyes.  I like that it's nude rather than white as I find it looks less obvious.  Tarte is a cruelty free company that does not use parabens.  In fact, this liner is formulated without: parabens, mineral oil, petrolatum, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, synthetic dye, and synthetic fragrance.

I use it specifically on my waterline to give me that "awake" look when my eyes are looking tired.  I find that it lasts about 6 hours on my waterline before fading, which is quite impressive.  It is very creamy and glides on effortlessly, without tugging or pulling.

It is a mechanical pencil, so no sharpening is required.  I prefer this as I find that sharpening can waste product.  This retails for $18 and can be found wherever Tarte products are sold.

Manicure Mondays-China Glaze Cyberspace

Today I have for you China Glaze Cyberspace from the 2011 Tronica collection.  It is a taupe/nude holographic polish.  It is the only one that I liked from the collection.  The formula was great, needing only 2 coats for opacity.  It lasted 7 full days before chipping!  I used a CND Stickey base coat and Diamond Dry top coat.  I find that even though this is a glittery polish, the holographic nature of it made it more grown up, at least in my opinion.  What are you wearing this week?

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara

I gave into the hype and purchased Clinique's Bottom Lash mascara.  Now I know that you can use any 'ole mascara on your bottom lashes.  I get that, but the problem is that most mascaras smudge on my bottom lashes and end up all in my under eye area.  I pretty much use mascara on my bottom lashes everyday because it gives me a more "awaken" look to my eyes.  So when I heard that Clinique had a mascara especially for the bottom lashes, I was intrigued.

The tube is small and the brush is super tiny.  It is perfect for defining those bottom lashes.  It is also very pigmented, being a very black mascara.  And most importantly, It. Does. Not. Smudge!  I love it!

Look at the tiny brush!

The cost is $10 and available wherever Clinique is sold.  I highly recommend this product.

Manicure Mondays-Zoya Caitlin

Zoya Caitlin is a blue/purple grey cream.  This one is part their Spring 2011 Intimate Collection.  I quite like it and the formula was superb.  This was a one coater!  And it lasted for 6 days.  I used CND Stickey base coat and Diamond Dry top coat.  So far I have been impressed with Zoya polishes.  I just wish they were more accessible.  Though I just saw this collection at Ulta, so maybe they will become more accessible.

Review: Revlon's Colorburst Lipsticks

It is very rare that I find a drugstore brand lipstick that I actually like.  I prefer department store brand lipsticks because you can test the color before you buy and they don't have that sickly sweet synthetic smell that drugstore lipsticks tend to have.  However, I have had great luck with the Revlon Colorburst line.  I have five of their lipsticks and I am impressed.  I have Fashion's Night Pout, Coral, Peach, Soft Nude, and Mauve.

Fashion's Night Pout is a limited addition color first released for New York's Fashion's Night Out.  It is a peach toned nude color, similar to Soft Nude.

Coral is a orange toned red that leans more orange than red on the lips.

Peach is a warmed toned peach, that actually appears more like a true coral on my lips.

Soft Nude is a peach toned nude that is just a touch more pink than Fashion's Night Pout.  It is also said to be a dupe for MAC's Creme D'Nude, which I do not own.

Mauve is pink toned mauve with just a touch of purple.

They don't smell of anything (yay!).  That is a huge plus for me.  They also have a creamy texture, similar to a MAC cremesheen finish.  I find them to be non-drying, which is great for my notoriously dry lips and I don't find that they emphasize any dryness on the lips.  They tend to last about 4 hours on my lips before re-application is needed.

The colors in the tube are pretty true to the color indicator on the top.  And the packaging is actually pretty nice for a drugstore brand.  It is matte black with a Chanel-esque quilted pattern.

Depending on where you buy them, they range in price from $6.49-$10.49 but you can catch them on sale quite frequently.  Have you tried any of these lipsticks?  Do you like them?

Swap Haul With BeautybyJJ

I recently did a swap with another blogger/youtuber Jennie of Beautybyjj.  I sent her some items from the US and in turn, she sent me some items from the UK.  These are all UK drugstore brands.  It was so much easier just to make a video about it.  So I did.  I'm not sure if I will continue to make videos or if this is just a one time thing, we will see...

Manicure Mondays-Sinful Colors Easy Going

This is my first ever Sinful Colors polish.  These are sold at Walgreens for $1.99.  I was attracted to this color because I have been loving the pastel pinks for Spring.  Easy Going is a white based pink that can definitely look white from a distance.  The formula was thick and streaky, needing three coats for opacity.  However, it wore like iron, lasting 7 full days before chipping!  This is with CND Stickey base coat and Diamond Dry top coat.   I am still on the hunt for the perfect pastel pink that doesn't have a crappy formula.

Outfit Of The Day-Going To Dinner

I have been MIA this week as I have been getting over a nasty sinus infection.  But I'M BACK...and with another outfit of the day.

So last night, the husband and I went to a birthday dinner for one of his best friends.  It was at one of those Brazilian steakhouses.  You know, the kind where they bring around endless cuts of meat and you eat until you can't eat anymore.  Due to the fact that these places are very expensive and I certainly planned to get my money's worth, I wore a flowy olive green maxi dress.

I pulled half of my hair back and left the rest down.  Makeup was what I wore to work, just some tinted moisturizer, peach blush, and taupe eyeshadow.  On my lips is my favorite combo of the moment, Estee Lauder lipstick in Crystal Coral with Estee Lauder lipgloss in Coral Goddess on top.

The flowy dress came in handy because I ate my little heart out.  Now it's off to go work that meal off.  Hope you all enjoy your Saturday!

Manicure Mondays-Orly Pure Porcelain

This is Pure Porcelain from Orly's Spring 2011 collection.  I've been drawn to pastel colors more and more lately.  This one is a bone color that leans lilac or pink, depending on the lighting.  It is not as stark as white but can appear white from far away.  The formula was a little thick but easy to work with.  It took 2 coats to acheive opacity.  This is with a base coat of CND Stickey base coat with no top coat.  Please excuse the look of my fingers, I just applied cuticle oil to them.  It wore for about 3 days before it chipped.   I really liked the color as I felt it contrasted nicely with my skin tone.

What's In A Name-100th Post!

WOW!  This is my 100th post!  To mark this occasion, I thought I would give you all some insight into what my blogger/twitter name meant.

I am a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated and have been since the Fall of 2004.  I have 21 awesome linesisters.  On my line, we have a couple of duplicate names (with 22 girls, it was bound  to happen) and there are two Tiffany's.  So in order to avoid stating our first and last names to differentiate the two of us, I adopted the nickname T. Mitch.  Mitch is the first part of my maiden name.  Even though I've been married for nearly 4 years, I still answer to it and go by it.    The "original" part only came about because Tmitch was taken on twitter.  So there you have it, that is how my blogger/twitter name came about!

I'll leave you with a photo of me and my lovely linesisters:

So I want to thank Nikki, Torria, Kelli, Marquetta, Ashley, Faith, Victoria, Charissa, Joneka, Raechelle, Gladys, Adrienne, Keisha, Carla, Kareeme, Ashlee, Danielle, Qiana, Tiffany F, Reisha, and Candice for giving me my blogger name!  Love you gals!!!!

My Name Necklace

I get a lot of questions about my "name" necklace each time I wear it.  So I decided I would share it with you all in a blog post.  Sex and the City is one of my all time favorite shows (I have all the seasons on DVD).  The lead character Carrie, always wore her signature "name" necklace.  And I have secretly always wanted one.  So I ordered one from www.mynamenecklace.com.  I got the "Carrie" style name necklace in sterling silver on a 16" chain.  It was only about $32 and that included free shipping.

I chose the 16" length as opposed to the 18" because I wanted to be able to wear it with higher neck lines also.  I just got an email from the site with a friends and family discount code for 5% off MNN507.

I really like the necklace and get a ton of compliments every time I wear it.  They even have the "Lauren Conrad" inspired name two finger rings (I'm also a Hills fan but won't be taking it that far)!
